Projects Underway!

Finally! The weather has started to warm and the sun is out and some of our outdoor projects are underway. This spring we had a lot of rain here at Oquaga Lake and while the rain will help our flowers grow, it can also slow down the projects. But now saws are buzzing and hammers are hammering and that puts a smile on our faces.

As with all long term ideas and projects, time flows and ideas evolve. We have started to feel the essence of the culture we want to create here become more clear to us. We value a culture of inclusivity and community, love and appreciation of nature and music and an offering of a beautiful haven for resetting oneself. As for those saws and hammers making all their beautiful noise, we are creating an outdoor shower along with an access to a bathroom for when we have concerts or folks tenting when we have our creative and healing retreats here at The Farmhouse.

Speaking of retreats, we are so excited to offer a couple of retreats this season. In August we will be offering a Singer/Songwriters retreat, and in September a retreat for Women to experience Creative Intention Crafting as a form of transformation and healing (and fun too!!) Currently we have four concerts lined up with some amazing musicians. We will begin our Wednesday Yoga Class as soon as the weather is a bit more consistent.

We now have four rooms for folks to stay in while visiting the lake. The cute studio we built for ourselves to live in was cozy for a while but we felt ourselves outgrowing the space. So we have stretched out a bit and moved over to the 1/2 house which now opens up The Studio for you! The Studio has a small, full kitchen and private bath with a queen bed and its own deck area looking out toward the lake.

We also have transformed one of our rooms into a dorm style room for when we have retreats or for a small group of friends or families. And of course we have two other rooms each with a King bed, private bath and mini kitchenette.
